Have you ever looked at those celebrity photos and all you thought about is how do they have such pearly white, shiny teeth?
well, I know I did.
So, for you, I’ve decided to share with you some of the methods you can try at your own home to get white teeth as soon as possible (without paying a fortune for a professional teeth whitening).
Baking Soda & Water
Use a small bowl, mix a few drops of water with half a teaspoon of baking soda until a paste consistency achieved. Apply the paste on your teeth with a toothbrush or your fingers and leave for two minutes and rinse with water.
Baking Soda & Toothpaste
Try adding a bit of baking soda to your toothpaste and you’ll see the difference.
Baking Soda, Toothpaste & CoconutOil
When mixing coconut oil with baking soda and peppermint essential oil you can have a paste that will whiten your teeth and prevent tooth decay.
Just heat one cup of coconut oil until liquid-like, add 5-10 drops of spearmint essential oil, and add two teaspoons of baking soda.
As I mentioned in my post about the benefits of coconut oil, coconut oil pulling can actually make your teeth whiter.
Oil pulling involves swishing oil around the mouth, using it as a mouthwash. It has been used for thousands of years as an Indian folk remedy. Just put a tablespoon of oil in your mouth, then swish it around for 15–20 minutes.
The mineral charcoal is sold in tablet form so you’ll need to grind up 1-2 tablets, which is about 1-2 teaspoons worth until the charcoal is fine dust and then feel free to add just enough water to form a paste.
When the paste is ready just leave the paste on your teeth for three minutes without brushing it to ensure that you won’t damage the enamel of your teeth, then rinse your mouth several times and when clean completely you can feel free to brush your teeth unusual.
Whitening Tooth Paste
One of the easiest ways to whiten your teeth at home is to actually use a tooth whitening toothpaste, you just take your toothbrush and brush your teeth as usual with it. One of my most favorite is the toothpaste by “CaliWhite”- super cheap and super useful! you can get it here if you want, I promise you that with this toothpaste you’ll see results super fast.
Whitening Gel Trays
Another easy way to whiten your teeth is to use gel trays, also from my own experience they do really work, but the toothpaste is a much more user-friendly version than the gel trays, but if you want the fastest results this is for you!
Avoid Eating Certain Drinks
Coffee, red wine, soda, and dark berries can actually stain your teeth.
That doesn’t mean you have to completely avoid them, but you should limit the amount of time they are in contact with your mouth.
My recommendation with the staining beverages is to just drink them with a straw and brush your teeth right after you consume the staining foods or drinks.
Blue Based Lip Color
It’s no secret that some lipsticks don’t do justice to your pearly whites — making your teeth appear dull or yellow, even if you’ve just whitened them.
Warm and yellowish undertones lipstick will enhance the yellowish color of your teeth, while cold and blue-based lipsticks will make your teeth appear whiter.
Brushing & Flossing
While some tooth discoloration comes naturally with age, it is largely a result of plaque build-up, which means that by regularly brushing and flossing you can actually help your teeth get whiter and much more healthier.
Do you remember what the thought us when we were little? brush your teeth in the morning and before bed!
Personally I prefer to brush my teeth with a whitening toothpaste by Colgate.
There are a lot of teeth whitening products and tricks you can use to achieve those perfect pearly whites, save up on expensive whitening treatments and avoid harmful chemicals, but the most important one is, of course, brushing&flossing because without the right teeth hygiene and care your teeth will never be healthy and white as you want them to be.
